What the heck is Network Marketing?

Network Marketing or Multi Level Marketing is a (n) (old) way to sell products direct to the end user, the customer without a store.

Most MLM or Network Marketing companies are in the health and body care business and although there are hundreds of new companies popping up every year 99% of those companies stop within 12 months.

The principle of Network Marketing is simple, you have some products and instead of "selling"them to a new customer you are giving (free) samples (which you as a distributor must buy from the company) and when the customer likes the product he or she will order from you.

Amway invented the give away free samples method but there are other ways to "sell" your way overpriced products from a MLM company. (later in this article the main reason why the products in this industry or way overpriced).

You give the customer some products he or she may use and after some days you see the customer again and "try"to sell the product or products. 

The second income stream is building up other distributors in your organisation (they call it sponsoring people)

Mostly, when new people start they need to purchase from their sponsor, a so called starter package.

A starter package is a bunch of different products and or give away samples mostly at high prices.

The person who sponsored you is earning money because he or she "sold" you this starter kit, mostly people must pay extra for the right to start earning money as a distributor of the company.

Most people, who start with MLM must fill out a so called names list, a list of friends, family and much more, those people must be contacted by the new distributor for a house promoting party (like Tupperware) 

WHY NETWORK MARKETING IS DEAD

The problem with network marketing is that A) This is an old system B) to succeed in Network Marketing you will need a lot and I mean really a lot of people in your down line to start earning real money. EXAMPLE: To earn $10.000 a month in network marketing you will need a football stadium of people in your organisation to achieve this goal, sad but it is true. C) The products are way overpriced and although they companies tell you that the products are actually cheap, because they do not need stores and or shops, the products are overpriced and this is simple to explain. Most MLM companies will pay commissions over the products you and the people in your down line this means when a bar of soap cost $7.00 a lot and I mean a lot of people must get a very tiny piece of the commission pie of this piece of soap.

This is the main reason why people in the Network Marketing Industry earn nothing or very very less money.
